Covid-19 Impact

Pretty much everyone has been affected by the Covid-19 “Safer at Home” order. Almost everything we do here at Williamson & Gentilini involves face-to-face meetings with clients. The documents that we draft here are designed to plan for illness and death. Because of the nature of what we do, the City of Long Beach Department of Economic Development has determined that we are an “essential business” that may remain open during these times. Nevertheless, for the safety of our clients and staff we will be significantly reducing our hours and the number of face-to-face meetings.

For the next few weeks (through April 13, 2020) we will not be seeing any clients face-to-face.

If you are a new client trying to get an appointment to do your estate planning, you have a couple choices. First, you can schedule out far enough in the future that we may be clear of the “Safer at Home” order. Second, we can do a trust consultation by phone.

If you are an existing client who has already had your trust consultation and are now waiting to sign your finished documents, we will be scheduling signing appointments after April 6, 2020. In the alternative, we also have a traveling notary who can bring the documents to you and notarize them for you.

If you are an existing client who wishes to make changes to your completed documents, call or email us, and we will make the arrangements to get that done for you.

For the next two weeks, we will let staff stay home as much as practical so we will have very limited office hours. If you call and get our answering machine, please leave a message and we will return the call.

Thank you for your patience.
